They informed me that they were still processing applications from December, but it seems like they have worked to expedite the process. I'm not sure what they did, but I received this letter. To my surprise, the letter reads, "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved. You are now considered a lawful permanent resident of the United States, dating back to your original admission or adjustment of status." The letter further states that I should expect to receive my new permanent resident card, commonly known as the green card, within 60 days. The new card will also include a mailer with the form I-730 and information about permanent resident services available to me. However, it is important for me to note that I should not travel outside the United States before receiving my new green card. There could be difficulties in re-entering the country if an emergency arises and I need to travel. In such an event, I am advised to make an appointment at my local USCIS office to request a stamp in my passport as temporary evidence of my status as a lawful permanent resident.
